Found a stimulus check in my mailbox
I stared at it for a minute or two
I could pay down some bills
I could fix my truck
Or patch up that hole in the roof
But the next piece of mail
Under that check was a Bass Pro catalog
Had pictures of rifles and big shotguns
I put it back in my pocket
And I hit that road

Did they really think we'd spend it on the grocery store? Hell naw
I can live on ravioli, man I getting a brand new gun
I've been down but I ain't been out
That grave ain't got me yet
I'm gonna raise all kind of hell
With my stimulus check

Well the banker shelled out $1200 bucks
He put it in a white envelope
I bought a tank of gas, a Monster
Then two cans of Wintergreen Skoal
With cash in my pocket
A hole in my wallet
And a big smile on my face
My roof might leak, my truck might break
But hold on Remington I'm on my way
