I woke one morning about 3 AM

Remembering the missing link to a formula I stumbled upon years before
(He looked so different)
Suddenly I called my faithful dog to my side and from

A batch produced a sample of the formula, offering it to my dear pet

I knew I found
My peace solution
My instant aid
To evolution

The affect on my faithful animal was fascinating!

His former disposition to chase the cat, the rabbits and other sundry animals
(He walked so gently)
Of the estate had gone. Instead, he walked gently through the dark
(He would harm no one)
And dead forest, a look of peace and calm about him
I knew I must spread the formula to all mankind

My instant aid
To evolution
What have I done

(Damsel)
One night, walking the streets near my laboratory
(Outside my castle)
I discovered a beautiful damsel with dark flowing hair
(She looked so fair)
And convinced her to be a part of my experiment. She lay upon the table
(Her dark brown hair)
Looking so peaceful as I administered my solution
Oh, her beauty was inconceivable!

Deciding to spread my solution around the world
I must have had to leave the laboratory for a little while
But, when I returned, she was gone! The damsel was gone!
I mean, not gone yet, but the heart meter said she was almost gone
She was dying! What could I do? She was almost dead!
