The rock, the vulture, and the chain

On the prowl for skin and bone to tear
I'm a skeleton looking for meat to wear
The abject gift, eternity
Making death a victory

The sum of human wretchedness
Enter the arena
Laughing all the way through the night
I am hyena

To me the strife was given by
Your godlike condemnation
I roam the badlands, and my tracks
Leave trails of devastation

In a paradise of locusts
Where blade and rifle rule the land
All seven senses sharply focused
I gallivant, hyena

In your silence lies my sentence
In my soul, a vague repentance
An evil dread, so ill dissembled
And in its grip, the lightning trembles

Lick my heart
It will poison you
Bad luck I am
Shunned by the world
Excrement
The grave cave ate
Rotten flesh
Filth and dirt
