They say it's darkest just before the break of dawn
Raised on bedtime tales of the leviathan below
Unholy enemies, so faceless, dark and cold

Every second leaves us guessing
Stepping backward and regressing
Cracks will form and show
How far we are from what we think we know
Taloned claws will tear me open
