But Ectopistes migratorius has long since flown away from us
No-one saved the Passenger Pigeon

So if you're kinda shaky and you're feeling frail
Bear in mind the plight of the Great Blue Whale
The last thing he'll remember he'll have whalers on his trail
Then he'll be gone just like the Passenger Pigeon
