The British All-American Home Boy Crowd

(album: Landmines & Pantomimes - 1998)

Feel a little too white
My jeans a little too tight
I've got a mouth and I'm pissed
Don't gotta sit on a wrist
The nearest we got to funk
Hand me some Marley ya punk
Guess I'm a little unhip
To be on that kinda trip

And we sing, and we dance
And you can see the whites of our pants
And we rock like we stay
In the Lower East Side of LA
And you soon look for me
In the monster raving party
'Cos it's hard to be proud
In the all-American home boy crowd

British!
(All-American home boy crowd)
And we be walking the walk
And we be talking aloud
We're the all-American home boy crowd
Check it!

Me and my homies is down
A whiter colour than brown
Check out the shoes that I wear
Throw me a five in the air

And we dance, and we sing
And we confuse our culture and t'ing
And we learn 'cos we're allowed
In the all-American home boy crowd
And forget that we be
Just as English as mustard and tea
'Cos it's hard to be proud
In the all-American home boy crowd

British...
(All-American home boy crowd)
Sing it
(All-American home boy crowd)
I wanna see some hands
(All-American home boy crowd)
An electric guitar
(All-American home boy crowd)
This hood is white gloves
(All-American home boy crowd)
Don't be dissing my ass now
(All-American home boy crowd)
Banging, banging
(All-American home boy crowd)
A-do you know what you are?
(All-American home boy crowd)
You are what you is

"Perhaps one of the most interesting words in the English language today is the word "fuck". It is one of those magical words that, just by the sound, can describe pain, pleasure, hate and love. It can be used as a verb, both intransitive (Mary was fucked by John), and transitive (John fucked Mary), it can be used as an adverb (Mary is fucking interested in John), or as a noun (Mary is a fine fuck). It can also be used as an adjective (Mary was a fucking beautiful girl). As you can see, there are not many words with the versatility of "fuck". Besides the sexual meaning, there are the following uses: fraud: "I got fucked at the used car lot"; dismay: "aah, fuck it"; trouble: "I guess I'm fucked now"; aggression: "fuck you!"; difficulty: "I can't understand this fucking job"; displeasure: "What the fuck is going on here?"; incompetence: "He's a fuck off!"; ignorance: "fuck if I know?"; apathy: "who gives a fuck?"; defiance: "the fuck you can!". I know you can think of many more uses but, with all these uses, how can anyone be offended when you say "fuck"? We can use this word more often in our daily speech, it adds to your prestige..."
