I go walking at night, guided by the Crown
That sits on the buildings, craning from high
Take me out, take me out to see those city lights

You can treat me like garbage, reject my staring so graphic
That needs your attention, or the just psychopathic
And there ain't no Lothario on the sly
I walk in a dream, with those city lights

I know you can see through each line that I use
So I'll poleaxe the syntax and rhyme
The trams in the neon sway to a torch song
At sunset, and I'm alive

I just need to know somewhere there's drunks and some kissing
Romance and rock band, but something I'm missing
And I don't wanna be anywhere but on the edge
Of the river with you and those damn city lights
