Short Arms

(album: UnEarthed, Vol. 1 - 2003)

Ha-ha. Let me tell you 'bout this guy. I met this man the other day. I mean, cheap is cheap but this guy gave a new meaning to the word. Kind of reminds me of manager of Y&T, you know? Stop cash flow and the music be ringing. I gots to tell you about this man. I'll put it in my own words for you. This is how it went:

I wanted dinner and you give the tip
He had twenty-seven cents and a chewed toothpick
Got a picture in his wallet of Ebenezer Scrooge, yeah
I said, "Old Ebenezer ain't got nothing on you."

Well, he talks real loud but his money never makes a sound
When the chips lay down he's lost in the crowd, can't be found

He's got short arms and deep pockets
A penny-pincher in the first degree
Short arms and deep pockets
In other words, you can say he was cheap

Took him to a party, first class uptown
Stuffing all his pockets every time I turn around

Well, he talks real loud but his money never makes a sound
Well, when the chips lay down he's lost in the crowd, can't be found

He's got short arms and deep pockets
A penny-pincher in the first degree
Short arms and deep pockets
In other words, you can say he was cheap

Man, that guy was a cheap dude
Tell me
Oh, Ebenezer, Ebenezer's great
Get down, here we go!

Tell me now, baby
Here he comes
You can just about hear him squeak

He's got short arms and deep pockets
A penny-pincher in the first degree
Short arms and deep pockets
In other words, you can say he was cheap
Short arms and deep pockets
Oh man, you can hear him squeak
Short arms and deep pockets
I bet you could say (I bet you could say)
I bet you could say that man was nothing but a dirty dog, nothing, dirt-cheap
