Born on the sea where memories stay,
And though he was from England, she from Germany,
War was still far away;

They hit a bad storm off the couast to Mombasa,
Battered and bruised, the ship carried on,
When he held her and told her that all will be well,
She knew that he was The One;

He gave her a gift of a beautiful diamond,
"A memory of me when you're far away,"
At the end of the journey, tears goodbye,

But Fate has a way of changing our lives forever,
When he saw in the paper a valuable diamond for sale;
So he went to the place in Holland,
And then when he saw her face, she ran to his arms,
