My Life

My Life

Look, Look, Look I was raised on the North end for a couple years they say my momma lost it so my grandma took us in.
It was me and my 2 brothers and my older cousin's kids and we ain't really have no food so they hit the store and steal.
Ay, I'm for real starving if it wasn't for Porsche and Diz and I was always shy so I ain't really have no friends.
My brother he was ten running errands for them ends like, "Take this here and go and give it to my mans but."
Ay yo, I don't even know he was doing what he was told and that was how it had to go. You know? Yeah. You know? You Know?
Ay he was doing what he was told and that's how it had to go. You Know? Yeah. You Know?
Look, and when my momma came thru she would come and she would go.
We would cry our eyes out and get a whopping for it tho.
My grandma sold white but yeah she did it for the dough and I didn't wanna go to bed cause it be mice all on my floor.
Momma bring us clothes, we were happy little souls like, "This yours, that's yours go and try it on."
So alone my grandma always kept a couple hoes.
I thought they were her friends turns out it was more.
She had a thing for woman my brother was kinda feminine ain't tryna sound down it's just some shit I be remembering.
East side Detroit dirty little Michigan.
I'm just telling my story and I'm hoping y'all can picture it.
Ay cause it's how I came up situations made me tough made me realize what was what.
What the fuck I was a kid, I ain't really know much all I wanted was my momma,
my daddy and packed lunch but instead I got whoppings and tooken like I was tough.
It wasn't much I was a soldier and we be with moms again cause we had to move East when they took grandma to the pen.
I was praying but I know we would see her once again.
She got a couple years but that was time for us to spend time with my mom time for us to bond.
"Waddup mom, I'm your daughter and I really like to rhyme,
I wanna shine like you, I wanna grind like you,
I wanna house with a view and a nice size pool what it do?"
I met my bestfriend when we moved.
She was cool, year younger we went to the same school.
After school we played ball with the boys, I was cute but I hated when they called me tomboy.
I guess it was insecurities, skinny lil girl couldn't wait to reach puberty, I waited long enough 17 I lost my purity.
Found someone I love by love he was feeling me but life goes on I'm too strong like seriously.
They killed my lil cousin I ain't gone lie it was killing me.
My grandma died peacefully and she ain't seem sick to me.
Week later they found lil Greg in the alley he just graduated man that shit fucked up the family.
Tragedy they went in 3s I got a job to get my lil brother out the streets.
This shits weak, I got asthma I could barely breath.
I got in college with a 15 on my ACTs tryna tell me that I couldn't read. (fuck out of here)
Please. Please.
Look, but in class I would fall to sleep writing rhymes through the lectures I gotta make it I'm so destined. (why?) I just am tho.
