When shadows grow like vines
And voices soft as chimes
Won't let you close your eyes
I could write your bedtime song

Mother Earth and Brother Moon
Spin in rhythm to this tune
And curtains made of clouds
Bend down to kiss your brow
While daylight takes a bow
So you can rest your head

I could tell you every story
Aesop's Fables, Brothers Grimm
But my favorite story is
The story that we're living in

Starlight through the windowpane
Sends a blessing on your name
As placid as a pond
More graceful than a swan
Ascending into flight
