Hey Mr. Santa, don't worry 'bout a thing
Don't need no fancy cars or cash or any diamond rings
No presents overflowing or elves upon the shelves
And if I need some real estate I'll buy it for myself

But if you're feeling generous this special time of year
I've written out my Christmas list and leaving it right here

Listen to the lonely
And pick them off the floor
Give shelter to the helpless
And never close your door
Imagine you're a kid
And you're hungry and afraid
Wouldn't you just look around
And feel so dismayed
At it all
What are all these presents for
When we could all do so much more
Together

Hey Mr. Santa, it's time we had a talk
If you haven't seen what's going on, it's time to take a walk
Can you make sure you're choosing chimneys in all different parts of town
'Cause there's people up on high who're keeping other people down

So come on Santa, no-one's perfect all year long
But it isn't difficult to tell the righteous from the wrong

So give love to the forgotten, make the bullied feel adored
And anyone who's preyed upon, say it won't happen anymore
Imagine you're a kid and you're tryna understand
Why some guys with all the power just won't lend their helping hand at all

Give us a world where there's no walls
Remind us we are never small
When we work together

Hey Mr. Santa, why don't we have a bet
The most amazing gift that you could give, you haven't yet
