Anything like this for real
But life is real
And if it's one thing I don't wanna be
It's someone with no fight in me
It's easy to just smile and flee
But that ain't me

Lately I been feeling better
Think it's cause you see me
Ebbing, flowing, life is strange
Emotions always moving
Up and down the mountain
In the valley heart is home I listen
Everytime you say you're tired
I just wanna kiss your blisters
I'm getting rich out
Getting rid of stitches in my soul
My heart is hardened
Tryna soften up and open up to you
But it's the hardest thing
I ever asked myself to do
I'm breaking out my shell a bit though
Day by day, all thanks to you

It's been tougher
Than I've let myself feel lately
I get so obsessed with fighting demons
I can't sleep baby
So when the lights out every night
I wish you'd come closer
Even if I'd never ask you
Scared I might get even colder
I know you need a crying shoulder
And I'm listening
You hiding so much pain
Behind those hazel eyes, still glistening
This life is dizzying
I'm not sure I'm fitting in
I've done everything I can
But still nobody's getting me

I'm getting lost in writing poetry
The muse has got her claws in me
Only one so gently loving
In the way she talk to me
The only one to recognize
The heart in me
I don't need to prove my worth
To her I'm not the enemy
And to everybody else
I stay the villain
You can't understand
Cause you don't recognize the feeling
Of doing right in face
Of everything that's scaring you
I spit danger in the face
Remembering the skies are blue
