This a letter to my younger self
Lotta things I got to tell you about
Probably wondering where you'll be
But I promise you that it's working out

You're determined but still in doubt
Never think that I'll let you down
All the dreams that you wishing for
Gonna come true so don't worry now

Always knew you were busy working
Promise you there's a bigger purpose
Might get lost inside the moment
But take some time and enjoy the journey

Got some hard days coming soon
But I know that you'll make it through
You'll be stronger than you ever were
Just know that I'm proud of you

Some people gonna make an entrance
Don't let 'em stay in your presence
They might offer some handouts
That sound good but got bad intentions

Always trust in your self belief
'Cause it'll get you where you want to be
If you start feeling impatient
Just take some time and let it breathe

One day you gon' leave your city
Moving on to a new life
Promise you it's a good decision
But it might be scary at first sight

Got your family back at home
But you got your dreams in front of you
Never change the man you are
You gon' make it far, you won't ever lose

Try to always enjoy the moment
Don't be thinking too far ahead
Lotta things gon' come and go

Make some time for your loved ones

Grab the phone and make a call

Take good care of your mental health
'Cause sometimes you'll be going through it
Lotta weight you put on your shoulders
I know you good but don't overdo it

Independent like you always been
But if you think you need a helping hand
Don't be scared to let out your feelings
If you need advice from your friends and fam
