Time and time again I see people looking to others for permission
Permission to start, permission to stop, permission to breathe
Why do we feel the need to seek permission from others

Another mountain to climb, race to run, hand to help, mouth to feed
Wrong to right, song to sing

This is your life, your opportunity, your path
Why should we allow someone else to lead the way?

Comparing yourself to others will always lead to despair

More muscular, prettier, happier, more successful
There will also always be someone poorer, fatter, weaker
Uglier, sadder, and less successful

Just because they've given up on their dreams
Doesn't mean you've given up on yours

Surround yourself with fighters that are gonna make you stretch

Many of life's failures are people who did not realize
How close they were to success when they gave up

Sweat dripping off their faces, sting their eyes
Stomach cramps that make Olympic athletes wanna collapse

But those with the hunger and desire to win
Push a little harder, run a little more
Until they hit that moment of breakthrough
And develop what's called a second win
And all of a sudden the cramps are gone
And they can run harder and faster than they ever had before
Across that finish line
It's time to start living like you dream
