Everybody needs a true north,
A safe place to rest their head and,

The pressure weighs and finds a way,
To cut my stride, increase the pain,
Distract, react, demotivate, procrastinate.

In my head I debate,
All my thoughts and their weight,
But over-thinkings trying,
My head keeps lying.
I'll see through the other side,
And reassure myself that I'll be fine.

I woke up in the same bed that I've been in for years,
And this ringing in my ears feels more like home than it did before.

I thought the weight on my shoulders would lift when I'm older,
