We sit and watch the fires burn and talk about the years that passed
We raise our glasses into the air and sing the songs that made us who we are
We share the stories of summer nights when all we did was chase the stars

We never thought that the years would pass and chase away our dreams so fast
A million memories of waking up with heavy heads from sleeping on the floor
I still carry the picture from the evening that we made our vow
To live each day like it was our last and remember the past

While staring out the window and chasing life away
It kills me just to know that life will never be the same
While standing in the water and searching for the truth
We find ourselves united by the friendships of our youth
As smoke pours from the ashes and carries us away
