I had the dream again last night
The demon in his car
He had horse hair fingers
And peppercorn eyes
And he beckoned me again
To go for another ride
I was standing by the mailbox
A package was inside
It was a thousand blank pages
It has been ages
Since I've said the word no
And told that demon to go

The Demon drove off slowly
I'm still standing here
Like an owner's manual
For some new kind of fear
I must be getting better
I just can't see it yet
Like blood that's getting redder
Like an ocean getting wet
