Well okay I'm gonna make a list to get you through the morning
'Cause sometimes when the day is still dawning
And you're fuzzy headed and still yawning
You might forget what you need to do

Well, when I was your age I was just the same way
Till I made these ten steps I follow every day
I wrote 'em so I can always see what I gotta do
And now I'm gonna sing these steps to you

One, wake up sleepy head
Two, get up and make your bed
Three, choose your clothes and get dressed 'cause

Four, now go out and eat some breakfast

And that means the next one is

Six, wash your face, give your hair a brush
Seven, use the loo and don't forget to flush, oh no
Eight, brush your teeth yeah, real, real good 'cause
You don't want stinky breath, no one does oh
Nine, well now it's shoes and socks time
It's kiss your folks and go to the front door time and
Ten, most important, take a little bow and a pause yeah
And give yourself a round of applause

You deserve it

And you know what? If you're feeling extra motivated
Well you could unload that dishwasher there though I know you kinda hate it
Or do you see that big pile of clean, clean clothes?
Well you could fold up and pack away those, no way

Maybe we'll just stick with this then
We'll sing our morning list from step one through to step ten
Then you'll have the morning started just the right way
