Spent too much of my time hoping somebody could fix me
Hinge my confidence on thoughtful friends, so when I mess up it's not all my fault but

Swore I'd never end up feeling bitter and jaded
Next thing I knew I was someone I would've hated

You can think it won't get worse, then the floor disappears
You can know something for sure, then it's gone in a year
And I miss those younger days
When it all felt clear
And I knew what to fear
Is it all downhill from here?

Found the love of my life but I still get kinda lonely
No one says what it's like when the feelings don't come easy
You can love someone with all you got, but it doesn't mean it'll be enough
Yeah, it's not all black and white wish somebody would've told me
