It's been 2 months
And the phone reception has been broken up, most of the time
Had a friend stay over last night, did nothing wrong
But, the company it felt right
We shared moments
And we had conversations about
About our place here
In the constellations
And I watched
The way that the sun lit her blue eyes

There's second thoughts
On the tip of my tongue
Trying my best
To not let them overrun

I know I need to learn how to change the patterns
And observe the weather come good here
Whether it's for worse or better
I've seen love
That isn't cupid, that isn't blind
I need a partner in good
And not a partner in crime
I've read poetry and I've wrote it
Been prepared
And I have been devoted
I've been through every fucking reason that it wouldn't work
