It seems so long ago I can't quite understand

Couple hundred thousand miles
A few heart breaks I've arranged
But still I look back and say

Back when I was just a kid with a guitar and nothing to lose
Writing songs for a living was just some sort of muse
And back when everyone thought I didn't have nothing to say
Little did we know my songs would be what they are today

But oh how everything has changed
And nothing is the same
You'd have asked me five years ago where I'd be today
