Obscured and then revealed again
Knowing something and letting it get light
The light pours in the window at dawn
And I'm sleeping there, hang-gliding blind
There's another world inside this one
My eye opens and stops my gliding mind
Knowing where I am all the time
Means the details obscure my view with their designs
Nothing is revealed to me now
Groping in the light
For a spear of dark, a slit in the moss
A pile of rocks, a poem's line
The fabric of the screen pulls apart
I crawl inside and see it from behind
Secret knowledge comes to me in the dusk
An indentation in the lawn, forgotten mind
Revealed and then obscured again
Standing in the fog as it clears, rubbing my eyes

But I know it now, that this will be gone
The wind in the grass will be here
