We got shushed by the older folks

I see the swaying of the leaves
Atop the Venice Beach palm trees
The waitress brought your omelette to ya
You asked for some Chalula
I can taste and smell the salt
I see the glimpses that were caught
I don't know what we talked about
I don't care to figure it out
Oh, what a wonderful day that it was
We caught that two in the afternoon buzz
You know that waviness that makes you think you're dreaming
And due to the way that it made me feel
I wonder whether or whether not it's real
It's like a vacation I can take whenever it's needed
