We took a trip north to the beaches of Big Sur
Slid off our shoes and floated across the grass
Made our way through the traffic jam of driftwood and finally down to the Pacific shore
You were everywhere I looked
That's one thing about this place, you can't walk more than five feet without finding Jade
Or maybe I just knew what I was looking for
As the sun sank into the water, and the sky took out its paintbrush, I remember thinking to myself
Why aren't you here?
It could have gone on forever and I probably wouldn't have really noticed until after it was over, but that's always been me
One foot in the water
One foot on the shore
Just right there on the edge
