Albert Ross the albatross flies over the ocean waves
Hardly moving his wings at all, his energy he saves
Across the sea he floats on the wind to see his good friend, then
And its three times round the lighthouse, and then its back home again

Albert Ross the albatross he even takes a nap
His golden rule is to stay cool and never get in a flap
Except the day that he saw a bird with wings even bigger than his
He followed him down and, in friendship, he offered him a fish

Albert Ross that isn't a bird although it flies so high
Its just a machine that people build, because they cannot fly
And oh what a terrible noise it makes with engines under its wing
Not like you so silently stretched out on the wind

Happy landings Albert Ross its only an aeroplane
And Albert Ross the albatross is king of the skies again
