I tried to write a letter
Never finished never sent
A brief misunderstanding
That left me in bewilderment

I wished I had the magic
The gift of love to ease the pain
Anxieties and troubles
The things we feel but can't explain
Have more communication
To put us back on track again

At times we have to quarrel
They say that's part of how we grow
Sometimes we have to suffer
At times there's nowhere else to go
I wished I had the answers
Believe me that I love you so

I wished I had an airplane
We'd fly to some exotic place
Set aside the routines
Take the time to slow the pace
We'd have some new adventures
Give ourselves more room and space

I wished I had the recall
For rules of love that I forgot
I'm gonna think it through babe
Try and give it one more shot
I know we've got a good thing
