Daddy died when I was a baby mama done her best to raise me

I often thought of leaving mama was the only reason I stayed in Jasper County at all
But I longed for excitement and I found delightment
In making lots of trouble for the Jasper County law
Well, I quit my troublemaking cause mama's heart was breaking
She paid for all the trouble that I caused
I know I should've had more respect for her and dad
