He couldn't handle what the stars had sent
How could an angel get such disrespect
When all he offered was his detriment
And his scorn

He took a message from the top again
A black report invoking dissonance
To keep his innocence and self respect
He had to falsify the evidence

He was feeding wolves in the dark
He only wanted to be free
To be a law unto himself

Mr Victim bit the tar again
Another DUI to circumvent
But don't be quick to point the finger yet
He's just a victim of his circumstance
He took a ride out in his car again
An open top one like the presidents
And all the innocents who tied the belt?
Well, they're just guilty 'cause they failed to help

He washed open sores with his salt
He only wanted to be free
To be a law unto himself

Don't stare too long at the sun
(It's lies anyway)
They just want someone to burn
(To bleed and suffer)
Strawman and scapegoating whores
(They need to sell the blame)
They point the finger away from themselves
