What Makes A Life Good?

Feel like I'm at this age where I've lived long enough to stress
And have a few regrets
But I'm not done growing up and I know I still got so much ahead
Making the most of what's left
Yeah, I can feel a little lost
On what I should focus on

What makes a life good?

Loving somebody
Making lots of money

Living for something bigger?
Chasing a thrill or wanting the familiar?
I hope someday I'll know

Always had this idea that
If I could check off every box I'd never end up lost
And never hurt anybody
Never make a big mistake
It'd all just fall right into place
And that would satisfy this craving
But the definition keeps on changing

Is it trusting intuition
Making peace with your decisions
Is it taking someone's broken heart and knowing how to fix it
Is it becoming a mother
Is it learning to be tougher
Holding onto hope when your world loses all the color
Is it finding out what's out there
Is it staying close to home
Is it being ok being on your own

What makes a life good?
