Trapped inside a prison made of bones

A monolithic figure looms inside my consciousness
Dragged below, deeper than I have ever known
The veil is lifted but the weight remains unbearable
I refuse to let this consume me

I want to go back to the moment laid in time where it all went dark
Obscured imagery of a slate once so clean

When does the light switch on?
Knowing the end is all too close
Slowly hanging by a thread, the hold it breaks and there's nothing I can do to stop it now

This web I weave solidified me in place
A descendant of endless anguish
My fate decided upon arrival
