Thick skin

Fear spreads like blood in a pool
Until it covers all the space in the room
Like an endless funhouse hall of mirrors and fears
Never-ending, all-consuming
And it's right here

Somebody's blasting away
It's the big pile-on
Sensing weakness, it's been there all along
