Dozen Decembers, we wandered the pavement, blow on the embers
Heavy frost in my heart, tips of my fingers
Kicking the leaves, there's nothing to feel but the drips from me

Is this the sun
Are my eyes open
Has the day begun
Will the light show me what is broken

Colours asleep, deep in the den
Gave way to grey, by chance or by choice we just couldn't say
In the dream quarry seams, forgotten stones
A death of earth, the map through the dark is revealing it's worth
