It's like heart surgery in an earthquake
It just occurred to me those might be high stakes
To heal what's hurting me while the world shakes around
Well, I'm waiting here on you, waiting on the shelf
I've tried to change what's true, everything about myself
You wouldn't want me to, and that's the joke
And I'm the clown

But all this worry
Well, I say it was worth it
Well, nothing ever is perfect
Still, we learn the truth in time
And though it hurts me
You know I don't regret it
So I let it teach me to give
And teach me how to really live
A beautiful life

I've got a fighter in my heart
And it runs on dreams
You walked in with a smile
Like gasoline
And found myself wondering
What would it mean to burn it down?
So I tallied what the cost would be
Counted in my head
It's easy math to me, but I guess instead
You prefer geometry
And need the proof to work it out

But all this worry
