Step 12 : Apology Accepted

Step 12 : Apology Accepted

(album: Apologies In Advance - 2018)

[Bryce Laguer:]
This has been such a great first meeting, guys, I have to say. You guys were really really stellar. Fantasic. Rad. Whatever the kids are saying nowadays. It's lit. So it almost feels like there's a new breath of fresh air, we're talking about all these pinpoint places of perception and how we feel about it. When you walk out of the home that you're at, who are you? This is the conclusion, at this point. Tomorrow might be a little fucking different, but who are you and can you accept it?

[Sylvan LaCue:]
I think, um... for me personally, I think it's, I had to learn that acceptance is really the first step of freedom. I feel like we're plagued by so much on a daily basis. We're exposed to so much on a daily basis. We're taught so many things that we have to live up to, whether it's friends or whether it's family or it's society's expectations, or it's the things that we tell ourselves, because of the things that we're going after. That means so much to us. We're dreamers. We're people who aren't afraid to step outside of the confines that people or society tell us. And so we create our own reality, and we have to live up to our reality. And for me personally, I... I had to learn that accepting these things that I was going through, these issues that I had was the first step to healing. You know, it's not enough for me personally to, to sit in these emotions and these things that I'm dealing with. It's not enough for me to say oh man I have this issue and it's fucked up, I'm always giving myself to other people or I'm always sacrificing something or I feel guilty because I'm taking time for myself. It's not enough for me to just live in these emotions anymore, like, I have to fucking heal. You know what I mean? And I think that's what it's about. It's like... when are we gonna get to a point where it's no longer enough to just feel? To just be in that moment. How do we get to a moment where we can accept the shit that we're fucking going through so we can heal. And I think that's, that's where I am. Like I need to accept this shit. 'Cause I'm done just feeling. Done just being in this emotion. Done just going through these things. It's time to fucking heal. So I can heal somebody else, because that's what life is about

[Bryce Laguer:]
Like I said, this has probably been one of the best, on record, meetings that we've had here. We'll have some pamphlets of information in the back if you wanna chit-chat and exchange some information. We'll be happy to do that
