I got a juju on my haiku
I got a mojo on my sutra too
And all she did was barely look my way
State of grace in the wink of an eye
One startling moment face to face and I was through
Finished with this folderol
Free from all this lah-dee-dah and whoop-dee-do

She took me like a rolling river running wide
Just like some sacred recitation
Fulfill some longing somewhere deep inside
Something that defies communication

I'm enlightened since she looked my way
Gave me what I needed all this time
Walked right through he door
And I saw what I was looking for
The kinda place where words ain't worth a dime

I was spending too much time alone
Seeking liberation in some sacred rhyme
Too much thought, too much idle time
But that all changed with the touch of her hand
She brought some fundamental passions into play
No doubt about it, I felt the darkness start to slip away

No way I could keep from falling
Hallelujah I could hear my calling
Ringing through the moonlit night
Giving me the eyes to see the light
