When I look for answers I still call you on the phone

Every time I hear your voice I feel it echo in my bones
And I hug your favorite hoodie I still haven't washed your clothes

It gets harder when I wonder where you are
In LA when it rains I feel you sending your regards
And with you flying somewhere up there deep inside the stars
I guess between us both the universe is finally ours

But it took the other half of me, I got beef with gravity
It's stopping me from searching every corner of this galaxy
I know that you're out there but it's not in my reality
I never thought that I would feel relieved of my mortality
