Hear the waves crash down
As they shape the shore and in their sound
Each one lives its life
In its own way, in its own time

To live a life that's free
Is to sing and dance
In the melody

Now I understand
That there are dreams and there are plans
And some shall see the light
But there are those that will pass by
So I've come to hope
Though I can't say and I can't know
That in the end I'll be
With the friends I know
And who know me
