Broken and withered
We will rise again

In death we are friends
Incandescent together
A slow fading light
The efforts cascading
Our time is tonight

Fractured and feeble
Ordinary people
Putting resolve to the test
Nobody chose to be risen
But new life is given
When we light a bonfire to rest

Old friends and rivals
We sit by the flame
To share in the moment
Before we can claim
Our own destiny's purpose
In each of our homes
We've all got our battles
But no one's alone
Nameless and searching
The light keeps us warm
In need and in danger
It guides through the storm
As we share in a question
Will we meet again
To sing by the embers
And brace for the end
