Since I was a kid (yeah)
The places we went
The things that we did
We'd write notes in class
And send them right back
But kids nowadays only stay in group chats

Oh! I see 'em acting so much older
With their complicated Starbucks orders
Only 12 years old but they glowed up (I'm actually 13)

We be outside 'til we saw the street light
But they stay inside while they playing Fortnite
What would they know about red light, green light
But only in squid game

Got me feeling so old

Back in the day cell phones actually had buttons

They're in relationships
They got boyfriends and girlfriends and they are only six (like what?)
When I was that age
I was still getting cooties
Not going on dates all alone to the movies
Now you see 'em throw it back on TikTok
Going shopping for a Gucci wristwatch
I was a kid back when heels were cool
But now all the kids hoverboard at their school (like what?)
Tablets at dinner, they're texting their crush
But when I was ten I was lonely as fuck
New TikTok dance everyday of the month
How do you keep it up
