Positions change and now you're catching the gas
Getting the lash
Getting trashed

You could be forever known
As the guy in the locker room who popped the bone
Or the guy in math who split his pants
Or had the wet spot at the cotillion dance
Thick skin

Fear spreads like blood in a pool
Until it covers all the space in the room
Like an endless funhouse hall of mirrors and fears
Never-ending, all-consuming
And it's right here

Somebody's blasting away
It's the big pile-on
Sensing weakness, it's been there all along
Find a tender spot and poke it
