As you fumble with the buttons on your chest
And as the rain falls
What's outside comes in
The space between us no longer dividing
And would I waste your time

You're laying on the bed, eyes upon me
I can hear your voice through the mirror, speaking wordlessly
And as the record slows, the silence surrounding
I can feel the room shift like a door in time opening

And I wonder to myself
What will come next?

Walking in the evening streets
Thoughts thin like air
Stuck in this record of time
Like a conversation going nowhere
