Well, let me tell you a yuletide tale that's hard to believe
'Bout a one-stop Georgia map dot town back in 1983
Well, the mill closed down and everybody's well ran dry
Sure felt like the Grinch stole all the joy in sight

Then midnight came on Christmas Eve
I'll never forget that sound
I looked out my window through the silent night
And saw him come to town

It was Silverado Santa
Flying 'cross the river and through the woods
In his cherry red Chevy sleigh
KC lights bright as downtown Atlanta
Jingle bell rock on the PA, tinsel on the tailgate
In a town where Christmas might not have came
Here comes Silverado Santa to save the day

He left a case of sweet peppermint shine
On the courthouse porch
Decorated our sleepy little county square
Like no one had seen before
Left enough toys 'neath the sycamore tree
For every boy and girl
Next thing we knew
The whole dang town was singing "Joy to the World"
