It's cold, but light outside
another sleepless night
and Santa never made it

it's just another day
at least it feels that way
it's Christmas, and I hate it

the streets are empty
and so am I
to "Merry Christmas" I reply

fall if you must
for simple things like laughter

well, Christmas really sucks this year

I'm craving pancakes
so much my stomach aches
but there is nothing open
