God Has Been Good

Thinking 'bout the months of the year
How they passed us by so fast
So many things to say, "Thank You," for
If it wasn't for Your grace
I would not have come this far
I realize I needed You

I've got joy on this Christmas Day
With my friends and my family
We share a common bond and it's love
You gave us the very best
My life has now been blessed
I couldn't ask for anything better

You've been my strength and You've been my light
There was never a battle that I ever had to fight
So, I wanna take the time to say, that on this holiday
God has been so good, yeah

When I look back through the years
All the laughter, all the tears
I realize the reason for the season

Look at all the people who pass
With their ribbons on their packages
Joy is spread everywhere
There's a choir down on the corner
Trying to get somebody to join as they sing

Jesus Christ, the One in the manager
The spotlight is now on my Savior
He is born to set us free (born to set us free)
He is the greatest gift that has ever been given to man
And, oh, what a friend

He is my strength, He is my light
There has never been a battle that I've ever had to fight
