My life story, yo, (feel me)
I was an only child trapped between a separation
My parent's altercation grew into incarceration
My father's good intentions soon became my mental breaking, but I was too young to understand the complication
And, through the pain, my mother pushed for higher education to numb the situation through the heart determination
And, at the time, neither took the chance to give and explanation, so I drew my own conclusion for the circumstance
I didn't understand a man's ways, apart from God, was the curse of bad decisions made apart from God
And the punishment was living with the repercussions of a path left, only meant for my destruction
